Critics Choice Awards: «Hugo» et «The Artist» décrochent 11 citations chacun

Les films «Hugo» et «The Artist» ont reçu chacun onze mises en nomination en vue du 17e gala des Critics Choice Awards, des prix remis par la Broadcast Film Critics Association.

«Hugo» et «The Artist» s'affronteront notamment dans la catégorie du meilleur film aux côtés de «The Descendants», «Drive», «Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close», «The Help», «Midnight in Paris», «Moneyball», «The Tree of Life» et «War Horse».

«Hugo» est également cité dans les catégories Meilleur réalisateur (Martin Scorsese), Meilleur jeune acteur (Asa Butterfield») et Meilleur scénario adapté alors que «The Artist» reçoit des mises en nomination dans les catégories Meilleur acteur (Jean Dujardin), Meilleure actrice de soutien (Bérénice Bejo), Meilleur scénario adapté et Meilleure distribution d'ensemble.

Les films «The Help» et «Drive» suivent avec huit mises en nomination chacun alors que «The Descendants» et «War Horse» sont en lice pour sept mises en nomination chacun.

Les Critics Choice Awards sont un bon baromètre pour les Academy Awards. L'an dernier, les quatre gagnants des prix d'interprétation (Colin Firth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale et Melissa Leo) étaient aussi récompensés aux Academy Awards.

Le gala sera diffusé en direct sur la chaîne câblée américaine VH1 le 12 janvier prochain.
